Christmas Music

The  song was written by Lee Mendelson and jazz musician and composer Vince Guaraldi for the 1965 A Charlie Brown Christmas television special. The soundtrack album for the special, which was released in December 1965, has earned triple platinum status.  The album contained two versions of the song; one was an instrumental, and the other had singers from the St. Paul’s Episcopal Church Choir in San Rafael, California. The song “Christmas Time is Here” became a Christmas standard. There have been covers by numerous artists, including Melissa Manchester, Sarah McLachlan, Mel Tormé, Toni Braxton, Chicago, Kenny Loggins, Tony Bennett, Al Jarreau, John Travolta & Olivia Newton John, Mariah Carey, and, oh, so many more.
