Cream I Feel Free

Cream I Feel Free

Hard Rock

The song “I Feel Free” was written by  Pete Brown (lyrics) and Jack Bruce (music). The single was released later in 1966 backed with “N.S.U.” The song has a happy Sixties psychedelic rock and pop feel with some blues rock in there. It went to #11 in the U.K., #27 in Germany, and #116 in the U.S. on Billboard’s Bubbling Under chart

Cream originated in London, England, and consisted of Jack Bruce (bass, vocals), Ginger Baker (drums), and Eric Clapton (guitar, vocals). They were active as a group from 1966 to 1968. Each went on to successful careers with other musicians in many genres.

Here are the lyrics to “I Feel Free” by Cream:

Bom bom bom bah bom bom, I feel free…

Feel when I dance with you,
We move like the sea.
You, you’re all I want to know.
I feel free, I feel free, I feel free.

I can walk down the street, there’s no one there
Though the pavements are one huge crowd.
I can drive down the road, my eyes don’t see,
Though my mind wants to cry out loud.

I feel free, I feel free, I feel free…

I can walk down the street, there’s no one there
Though the pavements are one huge crowd.
I can drive down the road; my eyes don’t see,
Though my mind wants to cry out loud,
Though my mind wants to cry out loud.

Dance floor is like the sea,
Ceiling is the sky.
You’re the sun and as you shine on me,
I feel free, I feel free, I feel free. ”
